Raison d'être

The Bureau of Earth Liaison was established under the Developing Planetary Systems Initiative (DPSI) in order to promote and maintain interaction between the peoples of Earth and the wider community.

Activities

The distally-located department of Extra-Planetary Affairs provides and administers a variety of culturally-oriented telesthaesia schemes, implemented in the form of analogues and constructs.

With the exception of pages in the MoinMoin wiki, the resources on this site are served in XHTML1.1 with a mimetype of application/xhtml+xml. This enables the application of XSLT stylesheets to render the transmitted content in a different fashion and to extract semantic information from the content (see GRDDL, RDFa, eRDF and SIMILE for details) but has the disadvantage that the pages can only be viewed with a contemporary standards-compliant browser such as Opera (=>9), Webkit nightly or Firefox (=>1.6).
